La Meridiana Restaurant in East Horsley recently hosted two fantastic nights in support of three local charities. The Mayor and Mayoress of Guildford were joined by some of the restaurant's regulars and special guests invited by our RDA group, Cherry Trees and Challengers to sample food from the restaurant's 2019 à la carte menu.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception followed by three courses and a drink courtesy of the owners Duncan and Massimo, with the request that at the end of the meal everyone make a donation of their choosing that was split between the three charities.
"We took over the restaurant a year ago, and during that time have involved ourselves in the local community in small ways however we wanted to create an opportunity to raise both funds and awareness for three very special local children's charities. Both evenings went really well and we were delighted to be able to hand over £1,520 to each Charity to help them continue their good work." Duncan, La Meridiana
We would like to extend our thanks to Duncan, Massimo and their extended team for hosting the events and to the guests that attended for their generosity. The funds raised and donated will cover the costs of one of our 13 ponies for approximately nine months, providing seven rides a week to children and young adults supported by the charity.
